Word Bank

A Word Bank is a storage place for learners to keep written words that they have learned so that they can refer to them as needed.  Learners can go to the word bank as they are writing or editing to find out how to apply a word in context.

WH Question Words

We use question words to ask certain types of questions.  We often refer to them as WH words.

1.  WHAT -  Asks for information about something
                     Example: What is your name?

2.  WHEN - Asks about time
                     Example: When are you going to eat?

3.  WHERE - Asks in or at what place or position
                       Example: Where is the school?

4.  WHO - Asks what or which people
                  Example: Who was helping Maria?

5.  WHY - Asks for a reason
                 Example: Why are you laughing?

6.  HOW - Asks about a manner
                  Example: How does this work?
